GuldenFoxesDefinitely playful!
Isis_rocksthen go with the billy goat
BogsStrongly disagree with this. The Billy Goats are nimble, yes, but there are far better options out there if you're looking for a playful ski.
What width do you want, op? The Billy Goat is, I believe, 116 mm underfoot, while the Soul 7 is 106 underfoot. Those are very different widths. 116 is definitely more of a dedicated pow ski width, while 106 is more of an all-mountain width with a preference for softer snow.
You should look at Salomon's Rocker2 series, K2 Shreditor series, the Line SFB/opus, the Blizzard Peacemaker, 4frnt YLE, Moment Ghost Train. And there are tons more options out there.
Isis_rocksI wasn't saying that's the best ski out there. OP gave two options and I told him which one is more playful out of those two.
japanada4frnt Devastators or Hojis. Both are full rocker yet damp and stable. They can pivot on a dime of tight trees and chutes, yet can hold there own on straight lines due to the longer turn radius.
Gunsmokes are a great all around ski as are the shreditor 112 if you want something a bit softer.
rozboonNot sure I'd call a Hoji playful. Devastator... maybe, great skis but again not exactly a buttery pow-jib ski.
Line Opus would have to be up there.
