You Ever Have One Of Those Days Where You Lose Everything?

BortyLike you start out on a quest to find something and lose everything else by the time you find the original thing?

I'll go with a skiing example. You have everything but your goggles. You're looking for those. Some how you drop or misplace your coat while looking for them, set your socks down or lose one, forget where your boots were, and by the time you find your goggles, you're still fucked.

Idk. Life was a struggle today. Was on part 3 of a mission to my parents to find my dragon goggles and stash of ski socks. Never found them and in the mean time, misplaced a phone, a bunch of money, and other things. Took an hour just to find the things that I lost while looking for my goggles and I never did find them.

That said, I eventually found the other things, and I found 3 and a half pair of socks in the process. I'll take that as a small victory.

BortyIf I ever buy a house I might install security cameras in every part of the house. Not because of break ins, but so I can watch the video and see where the fuck I left this or that.

I'm going to start glueing things to myself.

The last couple head injuries really did not help this. Sometimes I just can't remember. Like I'll get nothing sustained into memory from a period of time. I right everything down in a notebook and keep it in my pants all the time. Makes the work side of things manageable but the other stuff, fuck.

BortyYeah especially bad when you have a bunch of stuff in your pockets and can't feel it.

I remember when I was younger looking for my sunglasses while wearing them. I felt fucking smart when I figured that one out

crotchventI'm just glad you understand the issue. Most don't. The sunglasses thing is hard I end up wearing them inside a lot cause I forget they are there and inevitably someone makes a comment and I realize they are there.

BortyWhen I go to music festivals I clip my keys to my shorts. Not on a carabiner but like to the the regular loop. Then it's on those shorts for the weekend. It's awkward getting into the car if you have to use your key which I did for year but it beats losing them.

I also do a series of pats. I check that my phone and wallet are in my pocket. I do this regularly as I walk around. At least then if I lose something I know I had it where I was 5 min before or wherever and have a prayer of finding it.

PeppermillRenoNo you're not I've lost my phone hucking a cliff (and luckily called it from a friends and it rang and wasn't on silent.)

Just only have 1 pocket with actually shit in it (then one with the pass if its one of those access cards) so you don't get scared when you see an open zipper and only have to worry about 1 pocket.
