So I am currently riding the Volkl kinks size 163 and they are the first skis I've ever owned so I'm not really familiar with changing sizes but I bought some 2016 pipe cleaners from armada for a very good price over the summer when they were some how released at my local shop but they only had size 176 and they may seem like a big jump but when I put the kink next to the pipe cleaners there really isn't a big difference. And currently my kinks are set back a few centimeters at the progressive mount because I wasn't sure if I was going to like park at first so I got them mounted back a bit just in case so the only area where they will really get bigger is the tails since I'm going to get them mounted true center. So does anyone have any experience with this? Will it affect my tricks much? I'm 5'10ish btw and about 150 pounds. I just want to know if it would be a better idea to either sell or return them and get a size that fits me better. Or do you think they will be ok?
You'll be fine. I went from a 148 to 168 this s3ason and it took about 7 days to adjust to length and weight. I enjoy the length a lot, the only trouble I had was the weight. I've quickly adjusted and they feel like my old 148s. You'll be fine, just will take some adjustment
