If i cant ski during christmas break I'm going to die. First year with a season pass, cost me 600$ and I am getting fucking shafted. The only skiing I have done so far is grabbing snow from an ice arena and sliding down my backyard setup. January better make up for this shitty start
I'm seriously contemplating this. I've been looking into flights and you can find JFK to SLC for $300-400 depending on the dates. It's a little bit more out of Logan.
I just don't know if I want to pay for everything else. I have two season passes to Vermont mountains and don't really feel like spending money on tickets.
Even Killington is dying fast unless things change soon. Mount Snow won't make it to this weekend unless they pull some miracle out of their ass.
Not going to lie I'm really getting sick of seeing these god damn weather prediction posts, fuck acuweather, fuck predictions, fuck depressing "no snow" posts IT WILL SNOW EVENTUALLY. So please stay positive and let what happens happen.
But on a real note we all know what acuuweather is like and right now our jet stream is pretty high up so just give it a chance because technically.... It's not even winter yet.
Im honestly nervous, snow is fairly common in NH by now but we dont even have cold enough temps to blow snow. This week is supposed to be mid 50s and mid 40s then rain and the lowest temp is gonna be 29 and thats a guesstimated low. My mountain was open with a lot of terrain this time last year. The forecast for the next week is a bit better with more lows in the 20's.
Im getting scared theyre calling rain on christmas, if I dont ski my home mountain til mid january Im gonna be pissed, driving 2 hours to ski every weekend is a bit tough for a small setup

I'm so desperate, I drove 5 hours the other day to hit a down rail.
Accuweather has predicted November and this month correct....
If anything they predicted it would start to get cooler now... they said that about a month ago. They have been pretty accurate for their predictions this year, so I'm going to say they are right for those too.... Obviously not a hundred percent accurate, but in the range, which scares me
I'm not going to panic right now, looking at the weather is depressing and it just gets me down. I'm going to keep my self occupied by building pvc rails and waxing skis until January...
Now if January rolls around and it isn't cold and we have no snow then I'm going to freak the fuck out because I won't be able to take it anymore...
Im gonna go put some summer wax on my skis and call it a season with zero days. Cant believe I dropped so much money this year to maybe be able to ski 4 weeks.
If it's any comfort, we're off to a shitty start in france too, snowed 50cm 2 weeks ago then nothing, and above freezing temperature. Base is gonna be shit and we'll have a shitty fucking season just like last year. Fuck.
