certified binding tech?

I wouldn't worry about being certified if your gonna only mount your own bindings. Just find someone who can teach you.

Most shops have the test you can take, they send it in for you then you get a little certificate back in the mail. I got salomon and rossi certified that way but my boss let me cheat on the test anyway

Well my boss just did it for liability, I was setting peoples skis for like two months with no certification, then someone at one of our shops across the village set some kids skis wrong and he pre-released hit a tree and died. Just goto a shop and ask them

ya you gotta take the test if your working at a shop or something,for liability...if your jsut gonna do your own just get the adjustment chart, and the jigs..no need to get certified, if its just ur family skis your doing

You need to work at a shop do get certified. Only reason to get certified is so the ski shop wont get sued. You can adjust your shit as long as you know what youre doing. Boot sole,DIN and foward pressures are really the only thing youll ever need to worry about. You can find the DIN charts anywhere on the net. As for mounting skis, dont do it. Drilling them is really risky if you dont know what youre doing. You need a jig, special bits, depth settings, in many cases taps, tap bits, and a whole list of more shit to do. Do anything else you want, but dont mess with your bindings unless you know what youre doing PRECISELY. Saying for kids that try to do it, 'Youll ruin your skis or ruin your knees.'
