The key going into any horror movie is going in with low expectations, my favorites being damn near everything that AMC has been airing for the past few days

That being said, no movie has ever scared me as much as The Hollow Man with Kevin Bacon when I was 13

I watched Stephen King's It when I was like 10, maybe 11. I couldn't sleep that night after watching that movie. I'm still a little spooked by that movie today.

Might be because I watched it in some lame ass film appreciation class but that movie fuckin blowed.

Boring as fuck and nothing remotely scary about it.

Now the Conjuring, thats a movie that got me spooked.

I think the biggest thing about horror movies is the mood you're in when going into it.

Conjuring was pretty crazy, but scariest movie by far for me is The Strangers. Shit gave me nightmares for like a week, had me waking up in cold sweats feeling like i was about to have a heart attack.

the scariest movie that i've finished is probably Coraline, yes the animated tim burton movie, i was like 11 but still it scarred me. The scariest movie that i didn't finish was the conjuring, only got like 10 minutes into that and i had to turn it off.

If any of you guys actually want to get rekt watch the trailer for a movie called last shift, looks terrifying imo

dude Coraline is fucked! It's so fucking creepy. Something about the claymation makes it way creepier than it would be otherwise.

Conjuring seems like a common theme. We went through and watched conjuring, insidious 3, the devil inside, and the excorsim of Elizabeth crane. Did not get any sleep

I felt the exact same way about The Strangers. I watched it once when it first came out and i'll never watch it again. The Conjuring is runner up for sure.

Usually not a pussy when it comes to these but Sinister 2 really fucked me up, like the flashback rolls to the murders was some freaky shit to me and I couldn't sleep for a couple days and it had me freaked out. It was just like disturbing to me idk


but one horror movie that is really fucking good is The Ritual. The storyline is great, the cinematography is amazing cuz its set in like the mountains of Sweden, best part of alll is that it doesn't try too hard to be scary like the others I watched. highly recommend to anybody in here


The conjuring 2 was a also a pretty good one to watch, nothing like the ritual but I liked it

I havent seen a scary movie since the ring. That movie game me night terrors for 2 yrs straight. This meme ^ makes me feel a little bit better about the whole situation but in general i dont think scary movies are good for you. There is enough scary shit in the world as it is.

Damn what a throw back. To be honest, I think I know what really spooked me about that movie.

I remember almost nothing from it, but the one thing I remember is the sound that nun made. Kudos to the sound design team because they made the least human sounding/uncanny valley sound I've ever heard. Doesn't sound like anything else just this terrible inhuman scream that sounds like no animal, or human alive dead or dying

Me and my friends watched the Blair witch project at like 2am on Halloween last year and that shit scared the fuck out of me. Homies older brother told us it was based off a real thing and was actual recovered footage and I think non of us slept that night
