How do you spin off rails?

I want to learn how to spin off rails such as front 270 and back 270 i don't understand how to pedal ir whatever it is called please help me out !

Dig your front skis inside edge in to grip the rail and then push on your heel to go frontside or dip your toe in to go backside. It's definitely confusing and might take a lot of practice but you'll get it. Good luck

You gotta lead with your head and shoulders, and you get power from your HIPS. I see too many people barely getting a sloppy 270 around because they don't use their hips at all. Its really important you do you that. For starting the spin you gotta scissor. Someone already gave the link to the best video on the internet on how to do it, watch his skis and his upper body

preparation

1. 180 off of a jump

2. 180 off of a box

3. slide a rail and exit switch

once you've gotten these down try to side a rail, when you're approaching the end of the rail, pop and spin whatever way you feel comfortable with ( i think of it as when I'm sliding left foot forwards, i put my left foot forwards and right foot back once i reach the end while spinning with my torso,

give it a go

back 270 you drop your tip front 270 i just drop my tail kinda and dig my edge into the rail and if you want to do swaps its the same thing just set edge and pop spin done.

I became to realize this year that technique is not that important, locking your rails? getting the sweet shuffle at the landing? all those thing come with time, for me, there is no way I could've learned 270 or 450 if I was concentrated in getting the perfect setup before the trick.
First try to get the rotation around, just getting it nothing else matter, if you are not finishing the rail well, fuck it go around anyway, jump as hard as you can.
There is no such thing as textbook instructions to do tricks, just do them how you feel them, style and relaxation will come with time.

2s came really easily once i learned how to follow my head last year. 4s should involve hips, etc. But does anyone know how to spin ON rails?

first learned by hucking them, but never got them down consistently until I watched this:

this really helped me, and now I can throw them consistenly and slide well, and throw them pretty easily
