Hi guys. Today I have decided to officially part ways with my most beloved lens, the Nikkor 20-35. I've owned this lens for 4 years, bought it off of another member here on NS. It's been a fantastic lens for me. All the reviews you'll read about it will agree. This thing is built like a tank.
The best wide zoom Nikon has ever made since their introduction in 1993 is definitely the 20-35mm f2.8. The only sharper lens is the new 14-24 at 3 times the price and a much restricted focal distance. The other options, the 17-35 (also 3 times the price AND not as sharp as the 20-35) and the plastic 18-35mm f3.5-4.5 are of lesser quality and much lower value. Additionally it's half the size and weight of the 14-24 and 17-35 so you don't have to go to the gym to use this lens for more than 5 minutes at a time. Check out Kenrockwell for more info. Very very little distortion at 20mm on FX. Absolute none on crop. It is extremely sharp, and the 2.8 is always a bonus.
Always had a UV filter on it since the day I bought it. It has cosmetic damage on the outside of the lens, such as small scuff and stuff, but the lens works 100% fine. No sticky or gummed-up blades, foggyness, or anything of that sort. In my sig there is a link to my flickr. All photos posted recently on there (digital), have been shot with this lens.
Lens comes with original Nikon case (sorry no photos, it's down at my parents house right now. i'll grab it before the lens sells, of course).
0.9 ND filter and Circular Polarizer filter (77mm) are included with sale.
Price: $450 obo.
Vivitar 285V speedlight:
Bought it off of ebay 3 years ago, never used it. It's in cosmetically very good condition. Unfortunately, I personally cannot attest to it's operationality, however I did buy it from a reputable seller on ebay and it was listed as in excellent working condition. So.. you be the judge. It shows no signs of battery corrosion inside of the battery compartment, no scuffs or scratches anywhere on the body. I bought it because of how much people raved about it, sad to say I never got the chance to use it. I hope it lands into the right hands.
Here is a link to purchase the inexpensive battery pack from B&H. I just never did it. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/749535-REG/Vivitar_VIVAP1_AP1_Battery_Holder_for.html
