Hand drag 3 help

I learned them last season fine but yesterday I popped my shoulder out twice doing them on snowflex.
Has anyone had issues with that? Like shoulder problems. Maybe I'm just putting too much pressure on my arm and twisting it weird or maybe i just suck. I don't know. Help?

so are you going up and over like a lincoln or more like a cork? I find that if i do it more like a cork it helps with not putting any pressure on my arm.

Definitely not like a lincoln. I think i set it like a cork. If I had a video, I'd post it.

Are you supposed to like lean on your hands at all? I think I planted my hands kinda hard and put too much weight on them. That might have been why I fucked it up?

Without a vid it's hard to tell but it sounds like you are probably throwing it too early and mashing your arm in to the jump/roller. If it's off a kicker, try throwing it later and see if that stops you catching your arm. You don't need to put much weight on the arms off anything poppy, just more sort of lazily leave it until it's the last thing to leave the jump.

I find hand drags on snow flex to be more difficult to begin with. If you're there now, just ask one of the guys there. They're all super nice and really helpful

It's just a hand drag so you don't really use any pressure but when I do hand drag threes I carve hard into it and try to leave my hands the jump (if that makes any sense) to get off axis

on snowflex i feel like it is probably gonna be harder idk. But really drag your hand and keep your legs tucked in while your in the air, open up when you want to straighten out and land

This, but try and keep toe pressure in the front of your boots when your approaching the lip. If you leave your hands on the jump while your carving off, your stomach will eventually be facing the ground. I do it to the left so my left arm is the first to touch the ground then my right arm swings over to apply more pressure. The good thing about learning this trick is not much can go wrong.

Yeahh I learned it that way, like carving into it. I can't carve for shit on snowflex though so I just went straight.

It will be a ton easier on actual snow. Snowflex makes everything hard, especially carving.

basically set the trick as if you weren't going to use your hands at all, the handdrag doesn't help with the rotation of the trick. so set it as a cork 3 and let your hands extend rather than grab. good luck! tough trick too

How is this different than sitcorks, or the same? That was my goal this last year, but I kept getting royally fucked up when I'd inevitably not make it. Guess I was dragging my hands too hard off the jump.

Dragging a hand while sitting on my skis and doing a straight air off a jump seems to work perfectly, but something goes horribly wrong when I try to spin and I either fuck up my arm (I think on the landing, but possibly on the take off), or smash my head

I want to learn it so bad though... just not sure it's worth a hospital visit
