Tendonitis

Hi NS,

I've been lifting a lot over the last few months and I think I've caused some pretty serious tendonitis in my forearms. The pain shoots vertically up the outside of my forearms along the bone (I believe it's called the Ulna). It definitely hurts the worst when I do curls. I always do sets of 16, so it isn't like I'm using an excessive amount of weight.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there a way I can correct my form or adjust myself to prevent this in the future?

Come on man, why are you trying to lie to us? Everyone knows that tendinitis along the ulna is only caused by furious and excessive masturbation.

Have the same thing but from throwing huge musky baits. Just been using kinesio tape and that helps

In my line of work (tree planting 'n' shit), tendinitis is one of the more common injuries we get. There is not a hell of a lot you can do at the time of injury besides demobilization and time. If you try and work through the injury you will NOT get better, ever. Worst case I've seen of someone trying to push through tendo: full separation of tendons In the wrist, complete reconstructive surgery, and permanent loss of mobility in the hand of up to 40% range of motion.

I got it once years ago and after three days of trying to work through it, I couldn't make a fist without pain and holding anything was impossible for a full week. Took two weeks of resting the wrist before it was anywhere close to normal.


DO NOT try to work through the pain, it could ruin you for life.

I get tendinitis in the little tendon in my elbow from lifting. It has come back several times. I usually just ice/heat it and take a couple days off.
