The whole 2 party system in general is completely fucked. The Republican leaders in congress are retarded. The Democrats aren't much better, but at least they're not trying to cut 300 million dollars from the environmental studies program at NASA. Keeping scientists from being able to try and figure out how to unfuck the Earth isn't going to fix climate change and if we keep raping the Earth at the rate we are now, everyone is going to die.

This. For space exploration to advance and technology to develop private companies need to take over. That's happening now, and it's a good thing. Space research, however, is a different story. Universities and NASA will and should dominate that area.

You guys remember when Reagan wanted to initiate the whole Star Wars missile defense thing? What happened to that kinda awesome shit the republicans wanted...

Although, instead of Missile defense, I say we install MAC gun platforms like in Halo to defend from alien invasions or asteroids, or just to have awesome giant fucking space guns on giant space stations that we can visit because why the fuck not?

Screw the bank bailout and whatever peashooters the NRA bitches about... I want some real guns... Like Space battleships and crap.

If any of you cared about the future of skiing, you should support liberals. They believe in climate change and are trying to halt it, not "disproving" climate change by holding a snowball in congress. If climate change goes totally unchecked, skiing will not survive for much longer.

you should fact check what you're saying. The climate is always changing. The biggest example is as little as 10k years ago half of North America was under a mile of ice.

We are fucking up our environment with co2 and pollution and trash etc

But, to predict the climate is going to change because of humans fast enough to halt skiing in our life time is farfetched.

As the graph shows, from 1900 to 2000 levels of co2, methane, and nitrous oxide dramatically increased. A sudden increase like that is not natural. And you're right, the climate is always changing. However, humans are accelerating it greatly in a negative direction. Man made climate change isn't up for debate anymore. It's a fact. Trying to say man made climate change isn't real or a big threat is foolish.

That's not what I was saying. Skiing will not disappear within our lifetimes. However, snowfall will drop and glaciers will melt. We will have less snow and shittier and shorter seasons, not to mention less places to ski as resorts who cant do snowmaking close. http://unofficialnetworks.com/2015/01/more-ski-resorts-close-due-to-lack-of-snow Not to mention we've been breaking heat records right and left for years. (Some of the extreme cold spells like in Boston are also caused by climate change)

There is a ton wrong with this statement no one is saying you're not going to ski with in your lifetime we're saying we're going to do with unreversible damage to the earth for the future people it if we dont cut back on pollution. It blows my mind that you're against stopping pollution because the earth has always been changing. The earth is always going to be changing that's how biology and ecosystems work.

both agree pollution is bad so why are you bringing up climate change or global warming and it not being a big deal it contradicts what your saying. I'm not listening to a 3 hour podcast I'm going to listen to 99% of scientific studies, not sponsored by coal and oil companies.
