Hey everyone,

This is Charles Gagnier, I started to put online some of my never before released footage starting as far back as in the year 2000 when I started to ski on twin tips. I am here to answer any questions you would like to ask me about skiing, life... I will be back on friday 5:00 pm (eastern time) to answer them.

Yes, we did ski a lot together. He did his 1st ski travel with my brother Antoine and myself to whistler to shred the blackcomb glacier when he was just 10 years old.

We always shared a similar vision with skiing

It depends with the way you learned them, if you tried it first on a trampoline, then into a foam pit, then at the water ramps and after you are finally certified to try the trick on snow by your coach: then NO.

but if you didn't do any of those trainings, then YES

Yes and no.


As for competition pro rider.

It depends on your founding nowadays... I mean, the way that contests are judged right now, it is totally possible to form a kid at a real young age and make him do all the possible trainings so that he can ski to win contests, even if he's not that much talented.


As a film pro rider


It is definitely possible if you are really dedicated and that you find a way to distinguish yourself from the others.

SIXNot a question, but a request:

Can JF Houle and yourself (and any other freeskier interested) please bring back to life Pléhouse Films?

I miss those movies so much...





I would have love to but I don't have the time for that. In the meantime, wait for next fall: JF Houle is pulling out a movie with some of the best if not the best urban skiing of all time!!! I did film couple of urban with him back in 2014. Stay tuned, it's gonna be epic!

Mr.BishopWhat kind of effect did Antoine have on your skiing?

In my mind, he was one of the most under-appreciated skiers of all time. That guy was so far ahead of his time, that it wasn't even possible for people to appreciate him.




A LOT, a owe him a lot, thanks for sharing with me the passion and the vision of park skiing!!!

I also believe that he might be the most under-appreciated skiers of all time

Mont-Sainte-Anne, best terrain there is in Quebec! But no jumps unfortunately.. :(

MGMILI15Who are your favorite skiiers from this younger generation? Who's edits/videos/parts get you hyped?




I really do like what the step crew is doing as filming wise. I enjoy Antti Olilla, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand and James Woods the best as for contest riders since they can mix up well technical difficulties, variety & style.

BrokenBonesLast time i saw you compete it was for an early Olympic qualifier last season and you were still killing it! Do you have plans to try and compete anymore or are you retired?

P.S. You are a legend in every sense of the word.



I will not stop skiing and I'm still open to do some competitions but I'm not on the circuit anymore.

I could say I'm retired

cassgSo, I told them that it was one of my dream to jump over chad’s gap and they allowed me to session it with them!!!! It was my 1st ever backcountry jump and all I had were my 1080 park skis.

Also, in your vid "all 4 nines" that switch right side bio 9 is absolutely the tits!
