How do you feel about wagons?

I've been searching for ages to find a car that suits me and after looking at subarus for awhile, i noticed that they make, yes, a boxer engine, boosted active 4-wheel drive wagon version, which is an awesome solution for me, seeing as i lug around my drums often for gigs. the one i'm interested is a 2005 blobeye one, i suck at embedding, but its stock.

Wagons are definitely cool if done right, if done wrong they are complete mom material. I personally prefer sportbacks, like the Panamera or the A7 (dream big, I know) but the CTS V wagon is the coolest looking thing around. The thing I love most about wagons is their practicality, and when that is combined with completely unpractical performance mods, like lowering, turbos, ect, it makes a very cool, fun, and occasionally useful package. I say occasionally because in my experience, I'm either carrying so little it could fit in a sedan, or so much that I need my SUV.

Wagons can be super sick. I have a couple friends that have subaru wagons that they have just modded the hell out of. No one would ever mistake either for a "mom" car. I'd say great choice for skiing

The best skiing car I could ever want, for my situation at least, is a 2014 WRX STI Wagon. I don't need to transport 8 people, but I do need to bring more gear than a coupe will allow. And to top it all off, those things are FAST and FUN!

Personally I love wagons. Used to have a 2000 a6 avant, that thing was a beast, especially when we put studded tires on it. Now I have a 2008 a4 avant. It is zippy, but less powerful, a little smaller (have to put my 184cm skis slightly to the side), and there is more cabin noise (not a lot). On the plus, mielage is pretty good, I get mid 20's leaving it in sport and/or making short stop and go runs to the liquor store. The turning radius is also great, makes the car fell less than 1/2 the size of the a6. Lastly, the a4 has the ESP button (traction control), so when you hit that it is awesome for drifting (I just fuck around in the snow, would love to get into going to track events at some point).

Wagons get a +1 from me. First car was an 01 outback and i just upgraded to an 04 jetta wagon tdi after the suby died from head gasket issues.
