Advantages of Left or Right Foot Forward

Are there any big advantages to naturally hitting rails right foot forward as opposed to left? all of my friends ski right foot forward and i ski left, and i'm wondering if it makes a difference?

nope the only advantage would be being able to hit them both ways

There's a huge advantage to one of them when you're hitting an urban rail that can only be hit from one side and you can't do lip on without fear of castrating yourself.

I'm pretty new to park and I've been hitting rails right foot forward yet I ride regular (left foot forward) I feel like I'm at a disadvantage almost Because my whole life I've ridden everything left foot foward.

I suppose once I learn both ways and swaps it might come around easier

Ideally, you should be able to hit rails with both feet forward ... Whichever way you go to Instinctually is your 'natural' way and with the other foot forward it would be 'unnatural' .. When you're learning stick to the way it just kind of happens... When you nail it, try on the other side.

Why would there be an advantage? Only think that's an advantage is rails that are only hittable from one side. Rails that have a wall running along it so you can only get on from one side, a pole or whatever.

In biking some people are left foot, some people right foot forward, same with snowboarding, same with skiing, same with surfing etc.

Surfing plays in a lot with certain spots.

Idk, do whatever you like and learn the other as well.

Learning to land unnatural for a 270 on is much easier than landing unnatural for a 450 on. Urban 270s on pretty much required me to learn to grind unnatural first which I think has been a huge help overall. It goes both ways, one way of grind/spin combinations isn't better than another IMO

You mean natural for a 450 on? Most people (spin left, right foot forward) would have to go 4 on to spin and slide naturally, which is a pretty crazy trick. Much crazier than a left 2 on to unnat slide. I think we're on the same page here.
