So I just got my new skis mounted. I get them home and I'm checking them out and notice that one of the back screws on one of the heel pieces is not screwed down all the way. You can actually see space between the binding and the ski and see the screw. It's not huge, but definitely noticeable. The back end of the heel piece is not flush with the ski. Did the guy just not screw it down all the way? Please tell me they will just need to drill it in further.... I really hope this does not require a remount.
Bring it back ASAP you don't want your binding flying off, and it sounds like you have know idea how to mount binding like most of us so I wouldn't touch it.
yea this happened to my friend on his brand new magic js. the problem ended up being that the hole wasnt drilled deep enough, so when the screw was screwed in... it was in the hole all the way but not as deep as it was needed. take it to a shop and let them know. they should fix it for free since they messed it up.
