Giving my vote to Tom. His articles I'm pro rider see ups are amazing and his knowledge on boots is that if Einstein with physics. Great bloke and got me in perfect ski boots. Super professional when fitting boots and shared a lot of his knowledge while I was getting my boots done.

Very true. I gotta cast my vote to Tom though. He steers so many people in the right direction for both ski and boot questions. As someone who virtually lives in Gear Talk, I can say that he is by far one of the most productive members there. Also, his new articles with gear reviews and pro rider setups are fantastic and bring a whole new dimension to NS.

Everyone said this when they brought back MOTM and it was a purple name circle jerk. I agree with you. Either all members need to be part of it including all colors or it needs to be blue and pink only.

Why is purple allowed to win and not orange? If anything purple names should be the ones to be excluded...it is literally their "job" to do shit that stacks karma.

Seems stupid to me but im not surprised thats how it goes

But Tom has been dropping knowledge in gear talk for years...way before he wad purple. Hes a seriously valuable contributor and has been for a long time

Yeah, that's the thing Tom totally deserves it. And honestly I don't think it's as purple biased as you all think, I mean, I lost to blue names for like four months in a row, haha

The Weighting is very balanced, and purple names are members like anyone else. They're just members that have worked their way up and grabbed hold of opportunities - so in my mind its incredibly fair. We exclude red names because they're simply given their positions. I'd include Orange names too because they're just regular members of the site, but I do understand they get a substantial amount more exposure.

As someone else said, Tom isn't just getting his Karma through things thrust on him - he's been getting it through hard work and opportunities he made for himself.
