Slow mo help

Yo my cam only does 30fps, I dig the look 30fps look but making any shots slow mo is gross looking. anyone have any good ways of pulling it off?

Just barely slow it down. Not much you can do really. Your cam cant shoot 60?

Yea i dealt with this for a while, honestly i could only really get it down to about 80% speed and even that was pushing it. theres nothing else you can do short of ruining your footy

I know it sucks and looks bad but there really isn't too much that will fix it. I know you can do frame blending or optical flow which helps create smoother video I only of it from working with lame FCPX. I am sure what ever editing system (unless it's iMovie) has an equivalent to optical flow or frame blending. Also shooting 60fps is way better for slow motion

Ya im using the pr and ae and the frame blending in app isn't the best, I guess ill just deal

Its a bummer if you cant shoot 60fps for slow motion. Try twixtor out though if you have the ability, that shit is good at smoothing out frames for seriously slow motion

What program are you using to edit your videos? Different software has different ways of rendering the slo mo , making some look better than others. Plus, if you are using an editor that can install a Twixtor Plugin that would help lots too. Twixtor can make some unreal looking shots

have the people move slowly and shoot at 30 and it will look the same

if your using fcp, then you can use optical flow for it to look a little smoother. still wont look great with 30 fps though.
