First season skiing but I picked up very quickly, second day on the hill I was already in the park doing just simple grinds and grabs. Thing is, I am using my buddies rossignol actys 300's and on the web they are listed as "carving" ski's and to my knowledge also means all mountain?
I am not the best with all these new terms, but I got recommended by someone in the park last time I went to get Twin Tips. I have not tried any tricks in where I finish with a 180 landing backwards, just want to get more comfortable before I try it..I just started skiing backwards last time I went and it was sketchy at first but I didn't catch any back edges as some people say it happens on non-twin tip skis. Just find it awkward.
I also read that twin tips are not as easy to carve in as regular ski's, is that true?..I like park and all but I'd rather the pros of being able to carve better than land 180's easier with twin tips.
Should I wait until I am more comfortable and landing 180's before thinking of getting twin tips or get them asap? Or are they not even worth getting and I should stick with Allmountain /carving skis.
I am new to skiing so sorry if I sound like a huge idiot.
Thanks!
