I always think of it as doing a cartwheel off the lip but pop a little bit more forward. You will want to carve into the jump a little but make sure your skis are going straight off the lip instead of at an angle.

Also watch some trampoline tutorials, they help a lot since the feeling really similar, or better, if you have a chance go and do couple sessions on the tramp and you will stomp it first try.
