What's a good free skiing pole?

I was looking at either the armada legion or triad or the solomon brigade which it a lot more pricey, any other suggestions?

get the cheapest poles you can find. Thrift stores near ski hills usually have poles. Don't drop any kind of real money on ski poles.

'borrow' them from rental shops if need be.

Goode composite poles. Aluminum poles just bend all the time.

Yup. I got the dankest 80s poles for 5 bucks at a thrift store in Reno and they are aluminum and light and are Scott and wouldn't have been that cheap when they were new. Cool handles w/o stupid straps. Nice and not too long with sweet powder baskets still in perfect condition 30 years later. Will be so devastated when they break that I will look for a similar pole of the same length and use 1 and 1. Poles don't have to match ski top sheets aren't identical.

Visit multiple thrift shops and grab more than 1 pair if the price is right and you see something you like.

Are you kidding? You could literally get some think pvc, put a pole handle on it and use that as a pole. It gives no performance whatsoever. Poles are for quitters anyway.

Fast fact, I do most of my skiing outside of the park. I don't ski park with poles though.

those look nice. i got the $20 k2 poles (same price as those) and the grips are awful hard plastic in a shape that just wants to fly out of your hands

Get two different poles, or find a nice pair of poles somewhere weird........
My poles always have to have a story to them,


my right pole i got at the dump in the metal pit, my left pole is a rental pole with the mountains name watermarked on the grips.
