Tips for landing in relatively deep pow

so ive been suffering from shinbang and am slowly coming out of it. so ive been really trying to stay forward in my boots and stay outta the back seat. so we hiked up to this mountain by my friends house (scout mountain) and built a decent little booter. so how do i land in the pow without riding a little back seat. if i stay upright or maintain forward pressure in my boots i just... well... just see the attached video... . and any tips for bigger 3s and landing in some pow lol. note. i already tried trick tip for bigger threes a month or so ago and got like 1 response. k+ for landing in pow and 3 help.

In deep pow you have to land a little backseat so you don't fall forward and tomahawk.

No offense taken man hahah, I have them down on small and medium jumps but nothing very big. That's why I'm asking for everybody's input to help take them to bigger jumps .

It helps me a lot to keep my knees bent and stay low while focusing on weighting the balls of my feet. If you land more straight legged it initiates the tomahawk a lot easier. If you're tricking into deep pow you will find it SO much easier to land when you slighty underotate your spin.

Try to be more flowy with it, don't vigorously suck up your legs and the send em back down. Set the spin then suck up your legs then grab

What skis are you on? Snow doesn't look mega deep and can't really tell what skis you're on, but for a nice powder landing you want something with plenty of surface area. you won't punch through the snow so much and the landings will be softer.

This was about 2 weeks after my original post so the snow wasn't as deep as when u first made the thread. But I'm on the kitten factory rayzrblaydz (a park ski 95 underfoot). I mainly posted this vid for redemption but whatever's. But without skis you sink up to your waist or past waist. More wet heavy pow that hits you like a brick wall. Next time we go back up to thag jump in taking my crjs. They were out of commission at that time, but I think they'd do a lot better since they're 118 underfoot, but like -6.5 back from center.

You look like you have a decent amount of forward pressure. If anything its the timing of you pop, a few of them you were almost absorbing the jump.

Thanks for a somewhat actual helpful comment. K+ and for everyone else I could care less, I was trying to simply land a 3, not trying to be Wiley Miller. And after all this is only my 3rd season and am trying to progress, so I'm still trying to work on my form -_-

95mm under foot is pretty narrow for sending it off of a kicker into pow. I'd say try some fatter and possibly longer skis, a bigger landing platform is always going to make it easier to stomp tricks in the pow.

landing in pow doesn't require you to land backseat. You should try to land fairly square. When your skis initially hit the snow there is a moment with a lot of force trying to stop them. You have to be strong in your legs and core. Otherwise your skis just stop dead and your tomahawk (as seen in vid).

Stomping just takes practice.... Pow skis help
