Looking for a park/all mountain ski for my dad

Hey guys i don't know a lot about different types of skis and im trying to look for a park/all mountain ski for my dad to keep up with me when we go shred together. He's around 6ft (182cm) and he weighs 250 so i was thinking something about 100mm under foot but a little stiffer, he's been skiing all his life and has no problem shredding the whole mountain. I thought of the line Blend but again i don't know many skis. Basically he wants to play around the park but obviously not hit anything big. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd second that. Should be stiff enough for him in a bigger size and let him carve/do well outside of the park.

Haha I also always post about this ski too, but since you are out east, a bit shorter radius will probably be better for tight trees and overall responsiveness on hard snow. I mainly ski sugarloaf as an all mountain/park type skier who likes trees, groomers, pow, and park equally and the Icelantic Nomad RKRs have been a dream. best ski I've ever ridden. amazing hard snow grip, holds up great at any speed, and very intuitive and playful. also like ON3p they are hand built in the USA and super durable. plus they are crazy beautiful to look at. I am 6ft 180 lbs and ski the 181s.

Blend is probably too soft so I wouldn't go with those. Kartel 98 could work, haven't skied them though. I'd look at the ARVti too, it's basically the perfect east coast fun all mountain ski and does great in the park at the -2.5 mounting point.

Thanks for the help guys! i'll look into those you mentioned, i do agree that the blend may be too soft too good call on that.

Look at the volkl mantra, salomon Qlab or the kastle fx 98 maybe.

This is the best advice in the thread so far!!! Add the blizzard bonafide, as it sound like a good fit for your dad. The Kastle is a great ski, but super pricey

Source: I work in a ski shop and would have shown your dad the above for sure

Get him something stiff as hell...thats a big dude who sounds like his main focus is all mountain cruising. A soft noodly ski is not fun for anything besides park

Yeah my dad is pretty much the same person and he rides Volkl Kendos. A little narrower than the mantra but stiff enough with the metal in them for him to power around the mountain through crud

Those are all sick all mountain skis but he does specify his dad also wants to mess around in the park a bit. Obviously any ski can kind of be used in the park a bit but the mantra, bonafide etc are not skis I'd recommend to go there on. I agree that those skis are great options if the park thing isn't going to happen, and would be perfect for a guy that size. But if he does ski some park and play around I'd be looking more in the ARVti (188) bracket. It wont be as good all mountain, but it does give that versatility.
