buy a 7d mk ii even though I mostly shoot video over photos. Please convince me why I shouldn't do this.
My reasons:
1. I love the canon profile pictures, the image that it produces right from the camera. The H264 codec and being able to easily preview clips on a mac (I know h265 is right around the corner, is there anyway this could be a software update for the 7d mk ii? ).
2. I own all canon EF-s glass. Sigma 17-35, Canon 17-55, 50, 70-200.
3. I'm most comfortable with DSLR ergonomics. I get to shoot with the C cameras and the Sony FS's and I just find myself wishing I was shooting with a DSLR about 75 percent of the time. The only time I'd rather use a cinema camera would be for events,
Why I hate myself:
No 4k, and every other DSLR brand in the market has 4k
No XLR Inputs, not expected and I do have a beachtek that I use with my t2i and it works fine. But XLR inputs would just be awesome.
Okay, so I want to hear your thoughts. Should I just pull the trigger? It'd be nice to have my main camera be equally as good at photography as well. And I've heard that the lowlight performance (which is important to me) is better than the 5d mk iii.
Should I be saving this money for a Canon DSLR with 4k?
