Editing Software

Hey I just recently picked up a new Gopro hero 3+ Black edition. Im kinda familiar with editing but ive only used gopro studio and imovie so i guess im really not. Im looking for a cheap but good editing software that runs on a macbook pro and is under $80. Thank you!

Adobe premiere pro creative cloud edition is like $20 a month or you can always go the illegal route and torrent it (i definitely recommend buying)Premiere pro cs6 is $380 if you buy it.

That's for schools to buy and non profits. and I would still go with the adobe cc deal.

at $349 when you break the price down over 1 year its $29 a month and 2 years its $15. this doesn't include updates and all the other programs you get with a Creative Could member ship. Premiere has also come a long was since cs6. I would go with Adobe CC, it has photoshop, illustrator, premiere pro, after effects, media encoder, speedgrade, lightroom, flash, and a lot of other programs included. And if you don't like it or don't use it much you can cancel your membership.

It also says in large letters "For purchase by qualifying organizations only - students and faculty must purchase the Adobe Creative Cloud (Optional Installation Media Sold Separately)"

OP: I would go with Imovie. any nonlinear editing software that is good and worth buying will be over a couple hundred dollars.

If you are going to buy software. test it out first almost all of them have a 30 day trail.

Go with Creative Cloud but with his budget I wouldn't. Stick to the cheaper ones because going directly into CC is a bit overwhelming.
