Intuition Liner vs Lightly Used Boot

First I would try and recooking the intuition in your current boots. You can cook up to about three times. So if you have not tried that yet I would start there.

I guess 'pretty terrible' was an over exaggeration. They fit good, just packed out.

Sorry, I just re-read what I originally wrote and I totally didn't do a good job of explaining myself.

My current boots do not have Intuition liners. I'm looking at replacing them with Intuitions OR trying a pair of (used) First Chairs. If the First Chairs don't work, then I would steal the Intuition liners from them and try them in my current boots.

Either way, I'm planning on getting Intuition liners. I'm just not sure if it's a better idea to get the new ones or used ones (that happen to come in a pair of boots) for about the same price.

If your boot have packed out a lot it probably means the volume or size was too big to begin with. Adding a new liner won't really help. They will feel better for a while but pack out again. Really I would try to get a shell cheack done to see how te fit is. Of you take te liner out and put your foot in the shell so your toe touches the front, how much room is behind your heel? Also cheack how much room you have over the instep and each side of your forefoot. If the volume and size are ok you could try a new line but get some footbeds too. If the shell is too big start again and buy some boots which are fitted for you, not the second hand full tilts.

but I will tell you that some don't like the power-wrap style liner that come in full tilts, and if you feel like that may not work well with your current boot you can grab Intuition liners with a full traditional tongue. There are also a few different stiffnesses available. I am looking to do a similar thing with a pair of race boots i have acquired at some point this year.

I've done the shell test before and everything seemed to be kosher. I'll double check again when I get home today.

At this point I'm thinking I'm probably leaning towards just getting the liners. Either way (liner or boots), they don't work out and I just resell them.
