So every spring break my family goes on a trip somewhere tropical and the last few years as i have gotten more into skiing, I have been enjoying them less and less. I'm always caught up in skiing and how im missing rail jams and sorts of things going on. So this year I convinced my parents to let me stay and go skiing instead of going to Aruba.

What is the greatest sacrifice you have had to make for skiing?

Im pretty tight with my DR and got him to write me a sick note claiming I had the flue once so I had to "work from home" aka shred powder and do work in the club when I got emails.

Pulled a T Hall and dropped out of high school my Sophomore year because school sux and skiing roolz. The next summer I Got my GED after a couple months of studying and made the mistake of enrolling into college classes at the age of 17 which i later dropped because i just wanted to go skiing.

first off let me state skiing has been my life for the past 17 years of my life. Everything I did or was planning on doing revolved around skiing. So throughout my years I have gotten multipul concussions. I never thought about it but after my last concussion I added them all up and the number was around 10. I knew that my skiing style would result in more. This all made me think if skiing was really worth the rest of my life living with brain damage. The answer was no, and I hung up my skis for the season(have not been on snow for almost a full year now). I know this thread is about making a specific sacrifice for skiing but I (possibly other ns'ers have had to sacrifice skiing for other parts of life. Be grateful for what you have, a day doesn't go by without thinking about my one true love, but still will never take back my decision of quitting.

Quit multiple well paying career furthering jobs due to lack of time to ski. This has set me back financially from where I could be.................................... But it was totally worth it. Not in a bad place financially, but I could be much further ahead

For months now my grandparents have been planning to take me on a tropical cruise, bout my ticket and everything. The night before we leave for the airport i get word that killington opens the next day. I was so hyped i basically called up my grandparents and said sorry not going on the cruise. They were like WHAT! why not and im like fuck a cruise killington opens tomorrow and hung up the phone.
