Skiing With a Better Crew

Hey guys, so I'm in a great position. The crew I'm currently skiing with is good. Like really good. I'm so not on their level, and it's a great opportunity to learn and improve my skiing. However, I can barely hang. They're all super supportive, and give me pointers, but I feel like I'm kinda in the way. Right now we're hitting rails, and I'm a pipe skier, so it's totally new to me. Anyone else experience this? How do you deal with this/how can I step up my game?

I deal with this generally by getting drunk and sending it

Just keep with them, you'll get better. I've always tried to ski with people who are better than me because it pushes you to ski better and when you see something in person your brain can comprehend it better and you'll be more willing and able to attempt it.

Constantly play them in a game of skate. At least attempt whatever trick they call. You will be at their level in no time.

I skied with a guy who is much better than me a few times last winter. He didn't mind (probably because he's used to skiing with people who aren't as good as him) and although I didn't like holding him back, it was still fun to ski with him, especially since we like a lot of the same terrain.
I'm also used to skiing with people who I am much better than. Sometimes I like skiing on my own so I don't have anyone slowing me down, but if it's not a pow day I have no problem waiting for other people to catch up or take the easier way down.

Trust me, if they're dudes, than they're siked just to have a girl that skis park in their crew. Keep at it, you'll definitely get better riding with a good people, especially if they are helping you along.

To me it's like playing golf. I always play better with better people. Skiing isn't any different. But don't do things you have no interest in doing. I have a lot of park rat friends, I don't like rails too much they just don't interest me, but I do like a lot of different features or you can find me on the kickers anytime.

i feel you... but the way i see it is, put on some good vibe music, chill with your friends out on the snow, and everything else becomes unimportant falling to the wayside. If you're competitive by nature and constantly thriving on progression it can almost be impossible to just "not worry about it".
I guess you gotta just dig deep and ask yourself what you want out of skiing
