Unfortunately It clearly couldn't go anywhere that a snowcat hadn't already plowed a trail. It made it very short distances downhill without a packed trail. You would never get one unstuck without a snowcat as well. With the price tag you could at buy at least 4 sleds if not more.
^ Exactly. Last winter I used a Can Am on treads thinking I could keep up with snowmobiles.. I'd get stuck within minutes of getting off a groomed trail.
Sounds like a great idea, but don think it would be practical. It looks very heavy and would sink in deep snow. What happens if the snow blows up in the drivers face and you veer a little bit off to the side? Flip over a cliff?
Does it have enough traction to make it up a steep hill to bring riders to the top? Great idea but useless
^^^exactly, it needs to stay on a trail made by a snow cat, thus meaning you would need a snow cat to get anywhere. A snow cat would clearly be more capable.
Sleds on the other hand are cheaper, and far more capable. Plus I bet they're more fun to drive than a cumbersome craptor with tracks
