Break width?

So I have some 4FRNT Clicks with an 87mm waist, and I'm looking at a pair of 100mm Griffons (cheap). Are these gonna be too wide for the ski?

If you only ever ski forward and don't carve super hard they'll be OK.

If you land/ski switch at all, you'll catch the brake often enough that it will get annoying.

What if I had my shop bend them in?

If you take them to a shop that carries Marker bindings to get them mounted, 9 times out of 10 if you ask really nicely they'll trade brakes with you (especially if you're going from 100mm to 90mm as the wider break is typically more valuable to them). If not, they should be able to make them work either way.

I agree that it's pretty likely the shop will switch out the brakes for free if you pay for the mounting. I wouldn't take a chance with the 100mm on Griffons because replacement are like $40 per brake.

you can always bend the breaks up and out. i have 90 mm griffons on my surface blanks. when snow comes around, i will just bend them however much i want them.
