Couldnt find anything when i searched so sorry if this is a repost. I was wondering how different it is to ride a 5 point sidecut park ski verse a traditional 3 point sidecut park ski. I have an opportunity to get a pair of Bdogs or Al Dantes for very cheap but have to act fast. I just dont want to waste money on a ski that i dont like and cant wait until i can ride any demos. +k for any thoughtful words of advice.

With the 5 dimension sidecut skis it means the widest point of the ski is at the contact points of the running length. (cambered length of the ski) This also mean that the radius of the ski is taken from that running length. By then tapering the sidecut of the ski in at the tips and tail help in reducing weight to improve swing weight of the ski.
With a traditional sidecut ski with rocker (like the al dente) the widest point isn't at the contact points of the running length. The advantage to this is that when you put the ski on edge the running length increases giving you more effective edge on the snow.
There is a fair bit to it and Its pretty confusing stuff but at the end of the day you just have to demo them and see which one you like better. Personally i liked the Halo 2 (same sidecut as bdog) over the al dente but to each his own!
