Bruning DVDS

So my new comp has a dvd burner, is it possible to download movies from bareshare and then brun them onto a dvd, kinda like im making a cd, but now its a movie. If so what programs do i need, and do i need a special cd to burn it to?

your burner either records on +r or -r media. first you have to figure that out. If you want to burn movies so they'll play on a dvd player they must be converted into mpeg2 video, and the sound needs to be converted aswell, I like to use ac3. you can find programs that do this for you. just look around for dvd authoring progs.
