Skiing flat tricks?

Other than butters, what other kinds of flat tricks can you do on skis? Need something to do while i'm cruising some groomers with my lame friends.



Also, how the hell do you do a flat ground butter? I can get a little nose butter around, but it doesn't seem to flow enough. I'm real scared that my skis will pop off if I put too much forward (it's happened with nose presses)

dub backies are too small for those flat groomer runs, dub corks are easier to get around

I like doing the butters where you drag your hands in the flat groomers, I call it quad-pod.

How about worm-turns or danish donuts? Handplant front flips. Just skiing fast and leaning back on the tails for a tail butter here and there.

for flat ground butters theres kinda two ways you can do them, I personally like going fast and carving into them, so like carve until youre about 45 degrees and then start to really lean forward and commence THE BUTTER. or theres the hop 180 butter, so like hop a 180 and land in a nose press and keep pressing and rotating into a 3. Also tip drag spins are really fun...though some people may judge. Just lift up one of your skis backwards (so bend your knee as if you were doing a butt kick) and let the tip of your ski catch on the snow and this will turn you around 180 and then just hop around from there to forwards again, or cruise in the switch for a bit. happy flat jibbers!

Switch 3's are fun to work on, you don't need to pop much. Just helps getting comfortable with spotting. You can wash out pretty much anywhere along the spin and not catch an edge if you don't commit fully. I'll usually do the switch when I am on groomers with friends. On flat, sw 3 tail butter-tap shit is a crowd pleaser.

Nollies. Great to practice over rollers etc. (or nollie pop shifty and try to drag/tap the tips quickly)

you are with friends, have fun and enjoy being a goofball. do individual pole plants between your feet. do them quickly and yell inaudible shit.
