Rossignol Super 7 Air Tip

This ought to be in gear talk, I have a buddy that has em, what do you want to know about em?

I've heard they get pretty floppy but it makes a sizeable difference in weight

It works reall well. Salomon did it on the rockers before Rossi an for a bigger ski it makes so much sense. You don't want a bi ski to feel big and heavy so things like cap in the tips and the honeycomb structure work really well. I have only seen one big impact I that zone which caused damge but it would have still core shot and probably further damaged a wood core ski anyway. I really like the super 7 too personally I preferred the soul as it's a little more nimble and more jibby but if you like going fast the super is a great option.

I have not actuall ridden the chop stick so can't directly compare but I did find them very easy to scrub off speed an pivot fast. The rocker in the tip is large and reasonably stiff so it's really easy to get up onto to butter. They are not a twin though which disappointed me. Just adding a little more tail would be nice but it woul also change the ski meaning they would have to probably extend the tail. I like I said preferred the soul7 I found those really fun. Narrower underfoot and I believe a slightly shorter turn radius though I maybe wrong. They are aofter flex wise and were a perfect all mnt jib flex for me. If you like the idea of them but want a twin look at the salomon rocker 108 and 122. I rode the 122 for 3 seasons an tey are my fav pow skis. They have the same air tip tech as th Rossi but are a full twin with symmetrical rocker. The flex is between the super and soul I would say and they are super playful. They won't charge as hard as the super as they are a twin but you decide if you want the versatility of Riding switch or not.

You can straight-line crud on them when you need to and also slow them down reasonably well.

Squad 7 is really the only Rossignol ski I liked riding of the new S series. The Super 7 just had too tight turn radius for the type of ski it was claiming to be.
