funny midwest_skier, my story is almost the same thing, except the trick was a rodeo 7. :)
anyway, yeah I dislocated my left shoulder, was out for maybe 5-6 weeks and then killed it for the rest of the year. but over the summer I was cliff jumping and dislocated it again, and once you do it twice that bitch just starts popping out everywhere. Finally one morning I woke up in bed, sat up and dislocated, and at that moment I said 'I'm getting surgery.'
No problems since, but I always try to take care of it and keep it strong. If you had a dislocation wait out however long the doc tells you and do your strengthening excercises, because if it gets loose and you start dislocating frequently you're in for a world of pain.
