What is the dumbest thing you have seen a gaper do?

This past season I saw a gaper dad/kids going through the park. A couple laps later going up the chair the dad was sprawled out in the middle of the gap of a 65 foot kicky ass jump. Apparently the kids were egging the dad on to hit the jump and he was dumb enough to do it. I heard that he was actually really hurt tho.

Another time we had a decent sized train going and some gaper was standing right in the landing. My friend who was right in front of me hit the dumb girl in the shoulder and i flew right over top of her.

Another time this young gaper snowboarder fell off the chairlift right after it left the terminal and his friend jumped off the chair on purpose. That created a shitshow that took 20 mins to get sorted out.

A couple years ago at seven springs, a guy called drop about 200 feet before the part of the park that had jumps. He straight lined down the rail/jib part and straight into the jumps. He was going about 3x faster than he should of been going. He flew so far off the first jump that he landed on the takeoff of the second jump. Dude was so fucking drunk, too. He somehow walked it off.

A snowboard coach that was pretty cool told a guy politely to keep his kids out of the park, the dad straight up punched him. Another time I saw a old guy cut off a snowboarder in the park and a fight broke out, a "higher up" vail resorts employee tried to stop it and got hit in the face, both these happened at northstar ca.

This past spring I was skiing with the crew in the park and there was a ski cross race taking place beside the big jump line. There was a Bermed corner cut into the side of the landing and there were 2 people standing on the knuckle taking pictures. I rode down to get them to move and I attempted to call them out on it nicely. They wouldn't listen. When I was leaving them I realized the guy was a teacher at my school, I don't think he realized it was me. Not epic just amusing. Fucking gaped adults

Saw a guy looks like he was straight out of Marseilles or Paris is the meribel park hit about a 30-35ft on blades wearing jeans and looking like a complete gaper, somehow stomped it and bladed off stoked as hell!

a kid in my cabin at windells unlatched his bindings on his snowboard and let go of it and it flew down the mountain and sent Nick Visconti to go get it, we gave him so much shit when we got back to camp.

One time there was a guy who was high as shit wearing the most random outerwear and he went flying into our quarter pipe and flew 7-8 feet out of the shitty east coast pipe and landed on the top off the pipe and didn't get up so we went over to check on him and he was completely cracked out on something and started babbling to us and saying how much fun that just was ..

I was standing at the top of the park waiting to drop and this one out of control skier came flying Down and went through the ropes and the park sign while he simultaneously managed to take me out on to my back

Not in the park, but I always see gaper children going through a flat section on the hill crouched with poles between their arms like they're racing but not hardly moving. They are all so retarded.

i saw a gaper family in jeans and barn jackets once trying to hit the park.

when i am about to drop into the park some gapers try to go the second before i do so my whole park run gets messed up.

this happens every time.

My friends and I still crack up about it. It has to still be one of the funniest thing I've ever seen while skiing. The even weirder thing was the guy was skiing solo. Literally no fucks given.

snowboarders are supposed to have leashes that connect their front foot to their front binding. if the snowboard fell off of the lift like that, chances are he didnt have a leash on.

i have a friend who tried his first switch 5 off a jump but for some reason went slow in and when he went to spin he fell right off the back of the jump. we were all like wtf brah.

- saw one dude square up with the lift sideways as it came around the bend and stick one leg between the back rest and chair so that he sat straddling the bench. lifty just shrugged. dude could have called it the AC Slater, so it's not uncool but it's definitely dumb

-one time we bumped into a drunk ~10 year old (no, seriously, i smelled his breath and it reeked of rum, and he wasn't playing it up, he was trying to act not drunk) bouncing through a glade narrowly avoiding tree after tree. after assessing his chance of survival to be about 25% i said sorry bud, skiing while on drinks and drugs will have to wait til youre older, and just scooped him up and skied to the base lodge with him over my shoulder while he smoked a cigarette and called his ex girlfriend

can't really blame him cause he's a child, so obv the dumb move was on his parents' part

-dumbest thing i consistently see is when people are too challenged getting down the hill and take off their equipment. can't blame them for not knowing, but on anything but the flattest slope, getting down safe without the equipment make specifically for that activity is much harder
