Granite_StateIt is true and it's perfectly legal. They do it over White River Junction all the time. Any speed over is worthy of a ticket, sorry to burst your bubble.
Usually they do have signs posted alerting motorists that there is aerial radar being used. And I'm also pretty sure the airplanes have a radar system, obviously your detector won't pick something up a couple thousand feet above you...

Titus69Haha, that was less of my concern as it was to my brother as a passenger, its stupid that its high enough to not alarm the driver its almost unfair and none of us in the car (5 people) saw any warning signs prior to the incident. Whatever now Im aware of these bullshit speed traps.

Titus69I think theyre legal in Mass but if I had been ticketed I wouldve made sure to ask to see the recorded speed because it was 2 cops just sitting there on an off ramp, I know I was going a bit to fast before I saw them (10 over). Im just gonna watch out and not worry about people being assholes behind me for going the limit.

Of course it's hard to follow the limit but you are clearly reminded that if you're driving too fast then you can get pulled over.

It is perfectly reasonable to go a few mph over the speed limit. I would say 75 in a 65 is the fastest you should go. I usually go 73 (best gas mpg) but seriously? Are you saying you go 65 every time you're on the highway?
I'd say its more dangerous going the speed limit because you are impartially hindering the flow of traffic and causing blockages... Most people rarely drive what the posted limit is.
That all being said, its still no excuse if and/or when you do get pulled over.
