Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

OregonDeadWorried that the redesign on this software I'm using for students is set up exclusively as a phone application. I don't even have a smart phone and I have low income students that need to do all their work on the computers here in the lab. Grrrrr. Probably not going to work as easy as the web based set up we have now. Bet I will end up having to set up some new software or some crap on all our PCs


I went a long time without having a smart phone. It's only been a year and a half since I've had one in the states.

That said I still prefer to do a lot of things on my laptop. Doing work on my phone = meh.

Yeah I prefer a regular keyboard etc. and if I did have a smart phone I don't think I'd want to use my personal phone to do work on the clock. Pretty sure I could figure out how to emulate this software on the PC but it seems like the software provider should also provide the instructions for that. Just got off the phone with them and they will have a web-based version in Sept but we need something to replace the product they will retire June 10th. I can't even test this new thing on my PC .

Eh not really.. most girls my age really are annoying. And most of the girls I have been around lately are super cool and mature.. but they are a few years older for sure. So yeah you're right, in a few years it'll all be good.

It's nice to be single tho. I save a lot of money haha.

Hella is has already been a synonym for extra for decades. You can say that is extra rad or that is hella rad and it means the same thing to me.That is not like the weird examples that you gave of people mis-using extra though.

Yeah not having a car is a real bitch, between insurance and whatnot they're just so damn expensive, I can't justify the expense at this point unless I get a better job. I live in a college town so getting around here is fine with my bike/uber but if I ever want to go to the beach or camping or anything it sucks having to find a ride all the time.

Those packing blues....

Trying to bring 3 snowboard decks. Only looks like I'll swing 2 again. Also only bringing one back this year.

One of my decks is already smashed with a broken core due to some gaper bitch. I like the board and they don't make them anymore though. I think I'm going to bring that and my new untested board.

Hoping they all hold up though. Also really going to scrape buy on weight. It's amazing how much a few snowboard, 1 pair bindings, 1 pair boots, a couple of jackets, ski socks, and some clothes weighs with the board bag.

Last minute packing. I can't wait to have my bag pass and get checked, get through security and get a fucking beer or 10.

Was is a random test or are they concerned you're on drugs? I think nh doesn't legally allow random tests luckily.

At least when you got directions to a place I only hate google a moderate amount.

Today I had to stop in walmart to buy shit last minute before I fly out tomorrow. This was on the way. I knew where walmart was. Never used my phone in the store. Google fucking asks me to rate my fucking trip to walmart.

First fuck you google, its none of tour god damn business.

Second. Fuck you google its fucking walmart, obviously it was obviously terrible.

What in the actual fuck are those notifications?

I got another one in jerzy later from a place I didn't even go to and have no idea where the fuck it was.

I don't remember what it's like to fly without a crying baby within earshot at nearly all times. Seems like the standard now. On my last flight earlier this year, the kid behind me would not stop making farting noises with his mouth for almost the whole flight. He was at least 10 years old. It was absurd

Managed to fall asleep ish for about 30 min. Boom screaming baby woke me up. Also stupid cunt with baby literally sleeping with her baby over 3 seats like it was a couch and tried to rest her head on me. I fucking elbowed her. Not hard but ahe got rhe message.

Now im shot as fuck at 8am .

Tried to decise if i should use my layover to tourist or just sleep and get wasted.

3/4 flights on my Utah trip I was around babies. first flight was the worst, I was next to a chill mom with a newborn who she could kerp quiet easily. But then the 5 other kids were always screaming and their parents literally didn't do shit about it. I almost went off on the guy behind me cause his 2 young boys were going nuts and kicking my seat occasionally.

People always complain about this. I probably fly 6 or 8 times a year and I literally cannot remember this ever happening to me. Probably just cursed myself haha

My iPhone decided it wanted to start dying at 41% battery, it now connects to my old charger and says it's not charging but it's currently going up. Hit the home button and it kept turning on and dying immediately on its own til I used this charger. It also won't update new software because it doesn't think it's hooked to the Internet or load the agreement.

So I had another weird experience and shit news.


It had been over a month since I chatted to one of my friends in the states. I was raking today and got this urge to message him. Later today when I finished doing some night work in the park, I recieved an unrelated email mentioning that he had died. Im happy that I was emailed as I wouldnt have known as my phone is off and Im out of the country but jesus.

Ride in peace doctor tots!

Zach was a chill dude, great fucking snowboarder. Great guy to work with or just chat about stuff.

I'll never forget loading up our pockets with bacon and tater tots to munch at work during xgames.

i feel ya dude. a couple weeks ago a friend of mine died in yellowstone. he was a kayak guide on frigid Yellowstone lake and died saving a client who's boat had overturned. I didn't know him very well, more of a friend of a friend situation and so i skied and carpooled with him every so often but he was a great dude with his head screwed on straight and then boom. done. crazy stuff.
