2YearParmesanYea that sounds real sus unfortunately; if they've been running a fundraising program/event for that long you'd think they'd have pretty well established communication about the status of the finances and progress of the project, etc.. definitely even worse to play off a tragic accident like that and not be open about everything.
Yeah, I mean I don't expect them to be the best at understanding this stuff but its a bit too much. Either should put somebody else in control to run it as a Non profit fundraising deal or figure things out and be upfront.
Idk, I called them out a little on social media which feels shitty but jesus. They need to tell people where the money is, what the goal is, amd where things are at with the city. Just feels sus to see a campaign go this ling with many events and donations and nobody knows wtf is happening. Hell, I've seen plenty with the thermometer thing with the start and the goal and they move it up. Not perfect but it's something. This is kinda bullshit imo. Not trying to be an ass, but when you start fundraising on the 10s, probably over 100k scale you need to be upfront and accountable. Anything less is bullshit imo.
