I usually listen to metal/progressive type stuff and I just started listening to some more ambient stuff by the name of post rock. anyone one here into this music? I'm into these albums so far

yeah I wouldn't be able to listen to it on the regular but I've found it's great for background music playing video games and cleaning and stuff.

I was going to post this. Godspeed you! Black Emperor are incredible. Dead Flag Blues is one of the most haunting, darkest, most beautiful, and happiest pieces I have heard. I always imagine some image from "The Road" when I listen to it.

Also Swans.

post-rock is only boring for people who don't appreciate subtlety in sound, it's the closest thing to classical music we have.

Young team by mogwai is a great album - I also like come on die young
Loveless by my bloody valentine is a personal favourite
Explosions in the sky is also good for background music
