Line midsole mark

Probably a stupid question but had different responses from people.

All line skis have a midsole mark and then a recommended stance. I assumed the midsole mark 'was' the recommended stance mounting position. skis.com replied to me saying that the recommended stance was relative to the midsole. For example on the chronics -40mm was 40mm back from the midsole (seems way back 60mm from center), however the local shop said that the midsole IS the recommended stance (and is 40mm back from center).
 
id go with the shop but just wanted to make sure...

If its a new ski from this season BE CAREFUL!!!! Some of those marks went on wrong and we've had a few issues this season here in the store with the rec not being in the right place.

Best thing to do would be to hit up line for the mounting guide and check to see if those lines are in the correct place!

This is correct. A smattering of mid-soles were mis marked so the shop mounting your skis should measure which most shops already do. thanks.

Ok thanks. That's good to know - Just to be clear - The recommended stance is -40mm from the center of the ski? Thanks for the help

... Just measured, midsole mark is exactly 40mm from center, I will mount them there. Thanks
