Is it normal for hills to use Pam to make them slippery?

Yesterday at C.O.P. I saw the park crew using Pam on the rails, i know that it makes em slippery but it kinda seems like a weird/ghetto thing to do at an actual hill.

Ya dude I ski C.O.P everyday and i always see the park crew walking around with like duct tape holsters for the bottles of pam! I think its wired as fuck but the cop rails are never sticky.

I feel like Pam and WD40 would not be a good thing to spray anywhere outside their intended uses. Can't be good for the enviro.

I seem to stick alot on COP rails...
Anyways the riders on board kids do that alot.
Super easy to eat shit if they get lubed up and you dont know.

In the park shack at my hill we halve a shelf with like 25 bottles of pam on it, and another with a shitload of food coloring.

They used to use a compressed aerosol made from Simon Dumont's tears, but since he stopped competing, his tears are more expensive now.

And yeah my hill uses pledge to slick up the rails. And it makes them smell lemony fresh!
