Anyways, my predicament is this: I have a pretty solid group of core friends, part of this much bigger group of people. I don't really have that much in common with any of these people (interests, goals, morals, outlook on life) but they're still funny people, fun to chill with. We have raging house parties occasionally, but pretty rarely.. these people aren't really a high level of YOLO but like I said they're cool in my book.
Now I hope to stay friends with all these people but there's this group that parties every weekend, knows where the parties are at... it's almost like this massive group of people who are on this "imaginary invite list". Now, I'm trying to make some connections and GET ON THAT LIST. Man, it's senior year of high school, I'm just trying to meet some new people. I'm real outgoing (but self-aware and not obnoxious) so I feel if i just went to ONE of these parties, I'd be set.
Anyways, I've made solid friends in some of my classes with some people who go to these parties, and I've found I have a lot more in common with them. Now I'm just trying to get the next step, how do I get invited? Or do I just ask em? What would you do?
Man, this shit got me REEEALLY bummed out over the summer. I've learned to just enjoy what I got, and plus, college in the fall means a start-over, plenty parties and plenty new people to meet. But for now... advice?
