ive snapped my collar bone, broke my thumb, and crackéd my sternum by calling last run of the day and tore a ligament in my thumb in half after calling last run before lunch. ive decided to major in sports psychology because of it.

I broke my back calling last run once, but it also may have invovled trying to straight line the entire resort off a really big pitch near the base of the mountain. I'm lucky to have survived.

this is a BS myth. The only reason people get hurt more on their last run is because they might be getting tired. Fuck superstitions and things. I call last run whenever necessary to communicate it to others .

What about at competitions. Are you not allowed to ski a "final run" in those either?

I called last call before lunch last week and i am waiting until tuesday when i can get an x ray and see a surgeon. don't know what is wrong yet but i can't bend my knee past 90.

worse though, I fucked up my ankle first run on a pow day on the hollywood run last season.

Never do it. Mostly ends in a few harmless falls and laughing. But I've also caught my tails on a dance floor and double ejected as well as just last week had my ski hammer against my quad as I rolled on top of it at speed. I'm not even sure last two minus one is a smart thing. Just don't say anything. Go straight to your car without a word when you're ready to leave.
