Lens flares: Nearing the annoyance of film burns

I really love seeing the fake lens flares on girl's instagrams.

Maybe people have finally seen J.J. Abrams Star Trek.

Since dlsr's are getting cheaper and cheaper, people who haven't used a camera with an actual lens before are just realizing how easy it is to film lens flares, and tbh it is a pretty cool effect since you can pull it off without doing it in post. When I first got a dslr I loved filming lens flares and was tempted to do it more often simply because I could. People are just coming to that point by now. People will get tired of using it in their edits soon when they find out how annoying it can be when it's all over the place

That edit had too much slowmo for me. It was crazy how often the shot would just haphazardly drift to a light source.

Whenever I end up with a flare it's usually unintentional, I don't know if it is this way for everyone, though.
