Im gonna be in tahoe the week after christmas break and will be hitting up sugar bowl (less crowds, good glade skiing) and was wondering if anybody knows what their park looks like right now and what it should look like in early january. Also I will be skiing at another ski area for one day and was wondering which area in tahoe has the best park that time of year. Ill already be hitting up boreal for night skiing so that's out. Thanks homies.
There's not that much snow, so I don't know how much glade skiing you'll be able to do. Still, Sugarbowl should have some decent runs open (at least as good as anywhere else). In terms of park, I wouldn't expect much, maybe a small jump or two and a couple of rails/boxes on Judah.
Best park right now though is probably Northstar, although I'd stay away from that place on the weekends. If you get a good weekday then it'll be fine.
You might just be better off spending all day at Boreal if you're just trying to run laps through the park.
