dub back is pretty much the same as a seven, just different rotation. Or a dub front on skis. Easy as fuck, not an actual double. So that run agaisnt for legit dubs, nah.

No, they called the backwards cartwheel a wildcat and I've heard it called that by other boarders before too. I have no idea what they call flipping heel edge, maybe that IS a wildcat and the Dew Tour announcers fucked up? Regardless, it's a stupid name for a trick.

Back flip
Flipping backwards (like a standing backflip) off of a jump.

Yeah, so basically a wildcat is a backwards cartwheel, aka uphill lincoln. The trick I was referring to was when McMorris did a "supercat". Why can't they just call a flip that goes backwards off a jump a backflip?

You guys have to be joking. A wildcat and a backflip are two totally different things and calling them the same thing would be stupid.

Same thing in wakeboarding, a wildcat would be a tantrum, and a backflip would be a back roll.

Why do you think they those front flips on skis tame dogs?

I find it hard to watch snowboarding. Not as steezy and after watching so much skiing it is hard to adapt to. I don't notice much variations, just spinning....

That's not what I was saying at all lol

A flip that goes backwards relative to the direction of motion should be called a backflip. Skateboarders take the same stance as snowboarders and they call "wildcats" backflips. Why does snowboarding get it's own special term? It's a stupid trick name, but that's just my opinion, you don't have to take it so seriously.

I actually like the term wildcat. I mean we use switch or cab instead of backwards, so there isn't any preceding for not using slang.

It's more that I think it's a dumb name than I actually have any problem with them naming the trick that. Idk why, I just think it's a stupid trick name. I like switch and cab, and they definitely serve the purpose of abbreviating "skiing backwards" but I just don't like the term wildcat when it's basically a backflip (relative to the direction of travel). It's w/e, we have a special term for sideflip (lincoln), so they can have wildcat.

I snowboarded for a long time before I started skiing. Difference between a wildcat and a backflip can be compared to the difference between a backflip and a flat 3. The rotations are close but they aren't the same thing.
