immerse yourself in the things you love, it always helped me. no matter whats going on skiing skydiving and mountain biking are always there for me. when you think you dont feel like doing anything or are too tired to get out of bed. just get the fuck up and do something becasue even though life seems terrible being active and applying your mind towards something other than your depression will make you feel better, maybe not a long term fix but it will make you feel better for the time being. surround yourself with good friends, and step out of your comfort zone. focus on figuring out why you feel the way you do, and how you can fix it... its not the easiest thing but there are people that can help like mentors, counselors, and psychiatrists and psychologists. personally i have found that staying active in the things i love, focusing on the solutions rather than the problems, psychotherapy, and not using mood altering drugs (whether they be illegal or perscribed by a dr.) has worked best for me.
