What the fuck happened to Final Cut Pro???

I was using FCP 7 a while back, then moved to premiere pro. Unfortunately, the people over at Adobe and i had a missunderstanding and long story short, i can't really use premiere pro anymore. So i downloaded FCPX assuming it would be like the 7 and WTF???

I know i might be late to the party here but seriously, what the fuck were they thinking?? the skimming, the shit time line... Even time ramping is a total bitch. I can't easily create gaps in my vids anymore, transitions are a bitch.. Can anyone successfully use this software? And is there anyway to get it working like 7? Cause the extra stuff they added isn't to bad but damn, they just summed it way down, looks like iMovie now. Sorry for ranting guys

lol, just try and find fcp7, it's better than fcpx by far, but not as good as premiere

By about two years.

They completely rewrote the software, so when they initially released it it was missing a lot of functions.
By now they have restored most of them.

I've used it now for a full two years for about 50/50 with Premiere. And whilst Final Cut X challenges established ideas in video editing software I do really like they way it works.

why would you even post? anyone who has half a clue about FCP knows exactly what he's talking about, i really don't understand what would make you think you have any reason to post "what"


anyway yeah FCPX has a lot of powerful features and stuff but the gigantic move toward looking like imovie was absurd, no idea what motivated that

it's impossible to use man, if you can't possibly get premiere then avid media composer might be worth checking out.

It's a shame apple has bastardized a signature product like fcp where they aren't even the second option and people look for ways to AVOID using it.
