Physics projectile motion problem +k

Only did half a test today so I wrote down the problems but still can't do this shit for my life. Help a homie out! +k

An object is shot off a 15m high cliff going 20 m/s at 45 degrees. Find the final velocity in the Y direction.

initial v = 20 cos 45 = 14.14

final v^2 = initial v^2 + (2)*(a)*(d)
final v^2 = 14.14^2 + (2)*(9.8)*(15)
final v^2 = 494
final v = sqr(494)

final velocity = 22.23 m/s

I did solve it... on the first line I posted you fucking moron.

I didn't want to work out sqrt(5) but its about 2.2 so the answer is 22m/s
