Really bad toe bang recovery

I've got some bad toebang on both of my big toes. I assume that a lot of people have been through this and my question is how long it ussually takes to become skiable again? The hematoma on my right is much worse and I really can't walk on it. I basically hobble around school all day, it sucks. The nail is raised really high as well. Anyone know how long it will probably take for the swelling and major pain to go down? I can deal with minor pain, but I seriously can't fucking walk for shit. Also, will something like ice help with swelling and stuff. I know it's a good idea to go and get a hole put in it to drain the fluid, but that is currently not an option for me. So, anyone who has just not done anything and dealt with it know how long it should take to at least not cause me to limp anymore?
